I'm Blake Baldwin, a multi-instrumentalist, session musician, singer-songwriter, producer, and composer based in Los Angeles. I picked up guitar at 13, and by the time college applications rolled around, music was the only thing that made sense, so I went and got an MFA from CalArts' Herb Alpert School of Music in their Performer/Composer program.

I've been a working musician since 20009 and teaching almost as long, guiding students through their own first years on the instrument the way someone once did for me.

Songs I wrote and recorded have ended up on shows like SNL, Hacks (HBO), and Mr. Inbetween (FX), and I've played stages across the country, both fronting my own stuff and backing other artists. These days it's a mix: writing and releasing my own music, session and remote recording work, and teaching guitar, bass, and songwriting to students of every age and level.
